Assigning Interactive Tests

Introduction

This article will show you how to assign interactive tests to your learners.

If you have already administered AMT or AMT tests and are trying to assign a Shine Interventions: AMT or ART Progress quiz or a Shine Interventions: AMT Strand test, click here.

To assign an interactive test, you must purchase interactive test credits for the corresponding test suite.

In addition, you need to register your learners manually or by syncing with your MIS. They must also have access in the Admin Hub. 

 

Assigning an Interactive Test

  1. Log in to Boost Insights.
  2. Click Assign: tests and intervention quizzes.
  3. Select the desired test suite. 
  4. Click the purple Assign button in the top right corner of the calendar,
  5. Click + Add Assignment to select a test paper.
  6. Click + Add Learner(s) to assign the test to individual learners or whole groups or classes. You can tick multiple learners, groups, or classes at once, but you cannot mix and match.
  7. Click Add Learner(s) once you've made your selection. 
  8. Use the settings icon to grant extra time and/or hide the test timer for learners as required. Remove learners from the assignment by clicking the icon in the right-hand column. You can edit learners in bulk or individually by ticking the checkboxes on the left.
  9. Click Create to create the assignment and add it to the test calendar. 
  10. Select the assignment on the test calendar to find the test code and URL. Your learners will need these to log in and take the test. 

There is no time limit within which learners must take a test once it has been assigned. However, they will not be able to take a test before its scheduled date on the test assignment calendar. 

AMT and ART papers can be used flexibly throughout the school year. The content and questions in the papers (e.g. 1A Autumn, 1A Spring, and 1A Summer) are identical, but the data underneath varies and reflects the time of year the tests are taken. Select the paper that most closely corresponds to the term it's being taken in to give you the most accurate results and data.
