Introduction
Boost Insights houses a variety of reports to help you analyse your test data. These include free reports included with Boost Insights, spreadsheet exports of your data, and Shine Interventions reports that you can subscribe to. You can also generate a quick performance comparison between up to three subjects across your school.
If you've administered paper tests, you'll need to set up your learners manually or by syncing with your MIS, then populate their marksheets before you can generate reports.
If you've administered interactive tests, your marksheets will be populated automatically as your learners complete their tests. You can start generating reports as soon as they're done.
Exporting Test Data on a Spreadsheet
You can export test data on a spreadsheet for the whole school or for specific classes or groups. The spreadsheets will include your learners' test dates, raw and total marks, standardised scores, age-standardised scores, subject age, Hodder Scale Score, strand scores, and the group averages.
To export test data for the whole school:
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Enter or Review Test Scores.
- Choose the test suite you'd like to export data for.
- Click Export School Test Data in the top right.
- Select the academic year and term you'd like to export data for.
- Click Generate to initiate the download. Each year group will be displayed on a separate tab on the spreadsheet.

To export data for specific classes or groups:
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Enter or Review Test Scores.
- Choose the test suite you'd like to export data for, then the specific paper.
- Choose the class or group you'd like to export the data for and click Go to Marksheet. You can select multiple classes or groups, but you cannot select a class and a group.
- Click Export Test Data in the top right.

- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Analyse Data: Dashboards & Reports.
- Under 'School Overview' at the top of the page, use the dropdown boxes on the right to select up to three test suites and an academic year.

Generating a Report
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Analyse Data: Dashboards & Reports.
- Select the test suite you'd like to generate a report for.
- Choose the type of report you'd like to generate. Shine Interventions reports are on the right. If you'd like to generate a group average review report, click the Product Comparison Reports tab near the top of the screen.
- Select the class or group you'd like to generate a report for. You can select multiple classes or groups at once, but you cannot select a class and a group.
- Use the dropdown box in the top left to select a specific paper to inspect.
A Download button is available in the top right for PDF reports. For the Question-level analysis report, there is an option to Export test data on a spreadsheet for the selected class/group and paper.
If you would like to view a report for a paper your learners took in a previous year, or if you have administered a paper that is higher or lower than your learners' current year group, then you need to select their current class or group and the paper they took at the time to view the report.

Generating Shine Interventions: AMT and ART Progress Quiz Reports
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Analyse Data: Dashboards & Reports.
- Select Shine Interventions: Access Mathematics Tests or Shine Interventions: Access Reading Tests.
- Choose the report you'd like to generate.
- Choose the class or group you'd like to generate the report for. You can select multiple classes or groups, but you cannot select a class and a group. If you are interested in an individual learner, select a class or group that they belong to.
- Select up to six quizzes from the dropdown menu to generate the report.
