Introduction
Shine Interventions: AMT and ART include Progress quizzes for you to administer post-intervention to check your learners' progress and retention.
Shine Interventions: AMT also includes Strand tests. These are used pre-intervention to determine which specific Learning Sequences a learner needs intervention in based on their AMT test results (each strand contains several Learning Sequences).
This article will show you how to assign the tests and quizzes.

Assigning Shine Interventions: AMT and ART Quizzes and Tests
Before you can administer the Progress quizzes and Strand tests, your learners will need to complete AMT and/or ART interactive tests. You will also need an active Shine Interventions subscription for one or both products. However, the Progress quizzes and Strand tests do not require additional interactive test credits.
To assign the quizzes:
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Analyse Data: Dashboards & Reports.
- Select the AMT or ART test suite, then the Individual or Grouped Shine Interventions report.
- Click the hyperlink found in the Learning Sequence to return to the test assignment page for the chosen test suite.
- Click Assign.
- Select the date you would like the test or quiz to be available from.
- Click Add Quiz and select the test or quiz you would like to assign. Use the search bar to search for the correct test or quiz for your learners. You can preview the test or quiz by clicking the black arrow.
- Click Add Learner(s) and choose the class, group, or learner you'd like to assign to. You can select multiple classes, groups, or learners, but you cannot select classes, groups, and learners at the same time.
- Click the settings icon if you wish to hide the test timer for certain learners or for the whole group.
- Click Create.
To take their Progress quiz or Strand test, learners will need the Test Taker URL and the unique access code which will show in the assignment modal once you have clicked Create. You administer the Progress quizzes and Strand tests in the same way you administer an interactive test.
If you need to review or edit a Progress quiz or Strand test assignment, you can do so in the same way you review and edit a test assignment.
For completed AMT and ART Progress quizzes, you can generate two reports: a Progress quiz report and a Progress quiz: comparison view report. For further guidance, see Generating Reports.
