Introduction
You can add your students to their tutor/registration classes in the Boost Admin Hub. This can make students easier to find when assigning resources, lessons, and tests. It also allows you to assign resources, lessons, and tests to everyone in a class at once.
This article will show you how to create, edit, and delete classes.
Note that students can only belong to one class at a time. If you would like to group students together in multiple ways (multiple subject classes, for instance), use the groups function instead.
Creating a Class
- Log in to Boost.
- Click the Admin Hub icon in the top right corner.
- Go to the purple Classes tab.
- Click New Class in the bottom right corner.
- Name the class and add a description (optional).
- Tick any students on the left-hand list that you would like to add to the class.
- Use the 'Add from:' drop-down box to filter the list, or search for specific students using the search bar.
- Greyed out students are in Students > Without Access. You can still add them to the class, but you won't be able to see them in Boost and they won't be able to log in until they are granted access by the Access Coordinator.
- Click Save Class.
Editing a Class
- Log in to Boost.
- Click the Admin Hub icon in the top right corner.
- Go to the purple Classes tab.
- Double-click the class you would like to edit or select it and click View/Edit in the bottom right corner.
- Edit the class as desired: change its name; add, edit, or remove the description; or swap out students by ticking their names on the left-hand and right-hand lists.
- Use the 'Add from:' drop-down box to filter the left-hand list, or search for specific students using the search bar.
- Greyed out students are in Students > Without Access. You can still add them to the class, but you won't be able to see them in Boost and they won't be able to log in until they are granted access by the Access Coordinator.

- Click Save Class.
Deleting a Class
- Log in to Boost.
- Click the Admin Hub icon in the top right corner.
- Go to the purple Classes tab.
- Check that the class you would like to delete is empty. If it is not:
- Double-click the class you would like to edit or select it and click View/Edit in the bottom right corner.
- Click Remove all of the above students underneath the list on the right-hand side.
- Click Save Class.
- Select the class you would like to delete and click Delete Class in the bottom left corner.
